Parents supporting parents with guidance from a panel of experts can be a safe place to explore whatever is coming up for your child as they move through Middle and High School. Panelists include:

  • Kathy Sherman of Hillside School;
  • Anna Stewart of BVSD Special Education;
  • Wendi Kirkpatrick, BVKID and BVSD Barton trained teacher;
  • Marie, parent from CO YES! Learning Allys;
  • Robin McEvoy PhD, author, Child Decoded;
  • Sue Hirsh, advocate and parent of college-aged dyslexic students.
Potential topics to explore:
  • Navigating 7 classes, 7 teachers and Homework;
  • When to advocate and when to coach to build self-efficacy;
  • Assistive technology, tips and tools for school success;
  • Social-emotional ups and downs;
  • Celebrating the strengths of a mighty "dyslexian".
